Mobile operator life:) in the presence of the leading mass media representatives of Belarus run tests of the new  HSPA+ technology. First time in telecommunications history of Belarus the data rate at 19 Mbit/sec has been reached!

Technology  HSPA+  is the newest stage in 3G technologies development. Other name of this technology – 3.75G - underlines the adjacency of HSPA+ to the next 4G which is called LTE and supports data rates to 100 Mbit/sec.

 “Sensational situation with HSPA+ in Belarusian life:) network  is that only few states in the world have been implemented and operate technology  HSPA+ -  said Nikolai Yushkevish – Thus, the technology has been recently implemented by Turkcell. This operator run tests successfully in Turkey where they managed to reach downlink speed at 16 Mbit/sec. 3.75G technology implementation in Belarus shall be staged. Currently 50 base stations support HSPA+ in Minsk and the same number in Gomel. Next step – new technologies implementation in other regional centers and major towns of Belarus”.

Such strategy is quite reasonable: high speed data rate – is first of all state-of-the art equipment that requires serious investments. Therefore, in first place the operator delivers its investments to the regions with the highest level of technology users.
