Main » Services » International roaming is a service that gives you possibility to use mobile service with your existing phone number in networks of foreign GSM and 3G operators.
Service provision terms
"International roaming" service for prepaid subscribers is provided by default if the main account balance is sufficient to pay for calls and doesn't need any additional payments and settings.
Information about terms of activation/deactivation of the “International roaming” service for corporate subscribers is available at:

Selection of the operator in roaming
In case the automatic network selection mode is activated for your mobile phone, the handset will be automatically registered in any of the accessible networks of life:) roaming partners. Besides the automatic network selection you may use the manual network selection. To switch to manual network selection, perform the following steps:
- in handset settings menu choose "Network (operator) selection" and enter manual option;
- from displayed available networks select the desired one.
If the registration is successful, the selected network name or code will be indicated on your handset display.

life:) doesn’t have responsibility for the quality of signal and coverage area of roaming partners' networks.
Dialing rules in roaming
To make a call or send SMS from your mobile phone while roaming abroad you have to dial phone number in the international format:
+ [country code] [city code or mobile network code] [subscriber’s number]
If you want to make a call to Belarus to the subscriber of life:), dial:
+375 25 xхххххх
If you want to make a call to Belarus to the fixed line or to the subscribers of other mobile operators, dial:
+375 [city code/mobile network code] [subscriber’s number]
If you want to make a call within the visited country or to the any other country, dial:
+ [country code] [city code/ mobile network code] [subscriber’s number]
Attention:
life:) doesn't guarantee possibility to make calls and correctness of their charging if the numbers are dialed not in the international format.
Due to technological features of international networks interconnection life:) can't guarantee the possibilty and correctness of calling number identification both when receiving and making calls in roaming.
Charging rules
Each incoming or outgoing call (except calls to emergency numbers in the visited country) is charged at the stated tariff that depends on the visited country and chosen network of a roaming partner.
If you make a call to life:) customer service (+375 25 9090909) you will be charged as for an outgoing call to Belarus.
Tariffs for roaming services may be changed due to initiative of life:) roaming partners as well as because of foreign currencies exchange rates changes.
A 1-minute charging interval is applied to all incoming and outgoing calls. You will be charged for the call duration time rounded up to the next whole minute.
All outgoing SMS are chargeable. Their cost doesn’t depend on destination. All incoming SMS are free of charge.
For prepaid subscribers roaming calls are charged in real-time mode. Money is debited from the main account during a call. In case the main account balance during a call becomes insufficient to pay for next minute, the call will be released.
Making and receiving calls as well as sending SMS is possible for prepaid subscribers only if the main account balance is sufficient to pay for not less than 1 charging unit (minute or SMS), including taxes. Bonus account money is not used to pay for roaming services.

In case if you use “Call forwarding” service in roaming, please remember, that the cost of the forwarded call depends on the type of call forwarding and on the country to which the call is forwarded.
If you use unconditional call forwarding you will be charged for the forwarded call at life:) tariff for outgoing calls to corresponding destination.
If you use conditional call forwarding (“On No Reply”, “On Busy” or “On Out of the Coverage”) including usage of “Voice mail” service, you will pay both – for the incoming call and for the forwarded outgoing call at roaming tariffs.
Attention:
Even on the territory of Belarus your mobile phone may get to the coverage area of а foreign operator, if its base station signal is strong enough, and register in it. To avoid automatic registration of your mobile phone in a foreign network and charging of your services at roaming tariffs it is necessary to set life:) network selection manually, and always to pay attention to the name of a network displayed on your handset screen.
GPRS roaming
“GPRS roaming” service is available automatically to subscribers who have “International roaming” and “Internet” services enabled.
GPRS traffic is charged on the basis of joint volume of data received and sent by the subscriber. Charging increment is 10 Kb.
“GPRS roaming” service is provided via existing access points (APN) of life:) network. There is no need for any additional mobile phone settings configuration.
Internet traffic that is included in bundles provided within “life:) INTERNET” service is not used while roaming.
Attention:
In order to avoid unexpected costs for Internet traffic in roaming it is recommended to disable applications that use automatic data transmission in the mobile phone or smartphone or to set them to manual mode.
3G Roaming
life:) subscribers who own mobile phones with UMTS/HSDPA support can register in life:) roaming partners' networks which support 3G standard and use roaming services in them as usual.
Internet traffic while roaming in 3G networks is charged at existing roaming tariff for data transmission service. Traffic that is included in bundles provided within “3G life:) MODEM” and “ANDROID life:)” tariff plans is not used while roaming.
